It’s time for the WRC’s spectacular high-fliers to leap into the WRC Gala Night awards spotlight with the nominations for the AutoDoc Jump of the Year category.

We’ve shortlisted four of the biggest and most breathtaking big air moments from iconic WRC jump locations and put them into the video below.

We would like you to select your favourite and the winner will be honoured at the glittering awards evening in Sydney later this month.

The nominations are:

Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia in Finland’s Ruuhimäki Wolf Power Stage
Twelve months after their whopping leap in the rally-closing stage, the Frenchmen were at it again. Despite battling sickness, Ogier hit the final jump at full attack in his attempt to snatch fourth overall from Andreas Mikkelsen, his Citroën C3 leaving a trail of debris as it flew 60 metres. Their efforts were in vain but their efforts were memorable.

Kris Meeke and Sebastian Marshall at Sweden’s Colin’s Crest
It was fitting that Meeke bagged the Colin’s Crest award at the huge leap close to the end of the Vargåsen stage. The high-flying Toyota Yaris pair flew a stomach-churning 41 metres over the famous jump, named in honour of 1995 world champion Colin McRae, the man who mentored the fledgling Meeke in the early days of his career.

Teemu Suninen and Jarmo Lehtinen at Italy’s Micky’s Jump
Flying Finn Suninen welcomed fellow countryman Jarmo Lehtinen to the co-driver’s seat of his Ford Fiesta for the first time with a spectacular airborne display in the Monte Lerno stage. They flew high and long at one of the WRC’s iconic locations as the road fell away beneath them.

Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul in Finland’s Päijälä special stage
The Belgians were out of the running for a top finish but that didn’t stop them taking on the awesome jumps in the roller-coaster Päijälä. The nose of their Hyundai i20 soared skywards after take-off before the rear slammed back down to earth and Neuville’s right foot hit the gas once again. Finland at its best!

The winner will be announced during the star-studded gala, which follows the year’s final round at Kennards Hire Rally Australia (14 – 17 November).

More than 250 guests, including drivers, co-drivers, team bosses, senior officials, city personalities and government representatives will celebrate at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney’s picturesque Darling Harbour on Monday 18 November.

While casting your vote you will also be entered into our competition to win a fantastic annual subscription to our WRC+ All Live interactive digital service, worth 89.99 euros.

The lucky winner won’t miss a minute of the 2020 WRC, with coverage of every special stage from all 14 rounds, expert analysis from the WRC TV studio, interviews and reactions from across the service park, on-demand highlights programmes, live timing, exclusive onboard videos and much more.
